Understanding your MEG

IN response to requests from parents, please find below an explanation of how student minimum expected grades are generated:

What is MEG?

For each subject, you will receive a predictor created by ALPs-Advanced Level Performance System. ALPS is a target setting system that calculates subject-specific preditors for A Levels based on a students GCSE average point score. The predictors are used to inform the setting of ambitious and aspirational targets for students.

How are the Minimum Expected Grades Used?

The minimum Expected Grades are used to help discuss student progress with:

Students

Form Tutors

Teachers

Parents

All MEG grades are reviewed at three points in the year. Students are encouraged to be aspirational and the student agreed target may be changed to provide a further challenge if appropriate
